 #EGHS The Family Consumer Science elves have been busy baking a variety of holiday cookies their cookie exchange. They did a fantastic job baking Peppermint bark, snicker doodles, toll house, Italian sprinkles, Oreo chocolate balls, marshmallow wreaths, and more.

 #EGHS Congratulations go out to Hansika Lenkala who won first place in the Abigail Phelps chapter of the Daughters of the Revolution essay competition with her essay on Richard Henry Lee. Hansika’s essay will now move on to the state competition. For the past two years, Hansika has won the state, regional and national high school essay competitions with her well researched essays.

 #EGHS Congratulations to Tommy Jacius! He broke the school record at the Hillhouse Indoor Track Developmental with a mile run time of 4:40.11. The former record was 5:10.22!

 #EGMS Many thanks to EGYS for organizing and planning a fun community event for our EGMS students in the MS Commons!  Lots of fun was had by all, and the competition was pretty amazing!  
 #EGMS We are so proud of the spirit that students and adults brought to EGMS in  getting hyped up for the PJ for a Day Cause on Friday, December 13th!  We had a successful fundraiser  to help  support  the  Connecticut Children's Center for Cancer & Blood Disorders , and we had a lot of fun doing it.  Great work EGMS!!!
 #EGMS 8th grade students helped fill and set up the filters for the trout and salmon. Fish eggs will arrive in early January, grow all winter, and be released into Salmon Brook in late April.
 #EGMS In Mr. Tomala's Grade 6 Social Studies classroom, the walls are well decorated with student projects that show their learning about Mesopotamia, human advances in technology and social construct, and some creative expressions with how to tell stories like humans did a long time ago.  
 #EGMS Group work made fun in 7th grade science when the class goes into Starbucks Mode where you can pick your seat, your partner, and some smooth jazz plays in the background. Students were very focused and collaborated while using an online simulation to analyze the motion of the particles in different solids, liquids and gases.

 #EGMS In Mr. Dorr's Grade 6 Science class, students dissected lampreys, which are nicknamed "vampire fish"!

 #Seymour Our See More Caring grade five student advisory group has been busy mentoring their third-grade peers, building connections and fostering a positive, caring environment. In their latest initiative, they are supporting  The Energy Bus for Kids  rule: "Love Your Passengers." Through fun activities, discussions, and examples, our fifth graders are teaching the importance of kindness, empathy, and supporting one another. This partnership helps strengthen our school community, ensuring that every student feels valued and appreciated. Way to go, See More Caring team!
