In science class this month, our fifth graders have been diving into the concept of concentration as part of our exploration of matter and its properties. Through hands-on experiments, students are learning how different substances dissolve in liquids and how the concentration of a solution affects its strength. This experiment ties directly to the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS), where students develop their understanding of the properties of substances and how they interact. It’s been a fun and engaging way for students to connect science to the world around them!
